The fire of friendship.

One of the best piece I’ve read so far, by Paulo Coelho- Aleph

“A man called Ali is in need of money and asks his boss to help him. His Boss sets him a challenge: if he can spend all night at the top of a mountain, he will receive a great reward; if he fails, he will have to work for free. When he left the shop, Ali noticed that an icy wind was blowing. He felt afraid and decided to ask his best friend, Aydi, if he thought he was mad to accept the wager.
After considering the matter for a moment Aydi answered, ” Don’t worry, I’ll help you. Tomorrow night, when you’re sitting on top of the mountain, look straight ahead. I’ll be on top of the mountain opposite, where I’ll keep a fire burning all night for you. Look at the fire and think of our friendship, and that will keep you warm. You’ll make it through the night, and afterward, I’ll ask you for something in return.
Ali won the wager, got the money, and went to his friend’s house.
“you said you wanted some sort of payment in return.” Aydi said, “Yes, but it isn’t money. Promise that if ever a cold wind blows through my life, you will light the fire of friendship for me”

Some conversations are never enough.

There comes a time in your life, when you believe that someone holds a very special place in your life. Place which is irreplaceable. You begin to see yourself and the world with a completely different view. You feel as if you have been transformed. Conversation with that special person never ends. You keep on talking to that person, and crave for more. Sometimes even without direct mode such as a phone call, text message or a meeting. Yes, by this I mean communication through soul. You share things that are abstract. You can talk to the person about everything and anything such as, how are you doing? What do you think about universe? How do you interpret the meaning of life? What will be the result of elections? How do you define affection? What comes to your mind when you think about French fries? At one moment, the conversation is so ordinary while at the next it becomes extremely deep. You feel an overwhelming joy, knowing the person would be always there to converse.

Freedom from anger.

“Where there is anger there is always pain underneath.” – Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now.

Anger does not only harm the people around you, but deep inside you feel pain because of it too. Its a nerve-wracking sensation. You fail to get hold over yourself, and often behave in way which fills you with remorse later. So, I have some solutions through which a person can remain calm.

  1. Change your posture. If you are standing, sit down and vice versa.Untitled.png
  2. Drink water, or wash your face.Untitled1.png
  3. Just for a while think of all blessings you have.                    Untitled1

But even then if you fail to get hold, apologize. Be sorry to person you have hurt, and tell that person you have been going through tough time and present that person with some cute little thing, such as, a lovely note or a chocolate.

Practice it, it has made difference in my life!

‘Commitment’ for ‘connection’.

“There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.”  – Jane Austen

One word, ‘beautiful’ isn’t it? Friendship means a sincere, unconditional, commitment. It does not mean to be there for your friends all the time, but it depicts ‘be there, on right time at right place’. However, there can be certain times that people who mean world to you do not manage to be there with you when you need them most, but this by no means indicate that they care less of you. You just need to understand the situation they might have got stuck in. Understand, it is one of the rules for having long lasting relationships.
